How it works

What is WallPixelArt?
A collaborative wall of art and photography. You publish a photo, the community votes, and the winning photos become part of the largest digital mosaic ever made.
How do I publish a photo?
Once you are registered, tap the + and publish a photo. You can keep up to 9 artworks in the race at the same time.
How do I vote?
Tap a photo and choose whether it deserves to go up or down.
What is a challenge?
A duel between two photos. You pick a photo from another clan to challenge. For 24 hours everyone can vote, and whoever gets more hearts wins 10 up votes — which push the photo up the wall. A draw awards nothing. You can launch one challenge every 24 hours; there is no limit to how many you can receive.
What are levels?
The 16 insignia you wear next to your name. They show how much you take part in the project. Once reached, a level is yours forever: it never goes down.
What is a clan?
A group of wallers who share the same interests. You can switch or leave whenever you want, but your account is reset: only the levels you reached stay.
Does the wall ever reset?
At the end of a cycle the winners of the current session join the WallPixelArt wall of winners for good. The wall starts over, but the other photos are not lost: they move to the Out of the running wall on your profile, which keeps your last 36.
How do I keep up with what happens?
The activity feed gathers everything that touches you: votes, new followers, promotions, challenges and clan results. A badge on the Feed icon lights up when there is something new. If you allow it, the site can also send app-style push notifications.
How are views counted?
Once per person: when someone opens your photo, or votes it.
Something wrong with a photo?
Report it from the photo popup. The staff reviews it and decides — while under review the photo carries a warning sign.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, from your profile. Everything goes with it: artworks, votes and files. It cannot be undone.

Terms and conditions

Your photos stay yours
You may publish only photos you own or have the right to publish. By publishing, you allow WallPixelArt to show them on the wall, in the slideshows and across the site. You can remove your artworks at any time.
What is not allowed
Illegal content, hate or harassment, sexually explicit material, gratuitous violence, other people's private data, spam, and any automated or coordinated voting.
No money is involved
Visibility cannot be bought. Position on the wall is decided by votes only. A donation, if you make one, gives no advantage.
Moderation
The staff can remove an artwork or close an account that breaks these rules, without prior notice.
The service as it is
WallPixelArt is offered as is: we do our best, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Changes
These terms can change over time. The version on this page is always the one in force. Questions: info@wallpixelart.com.

Privacy and GDPR

What we keep
Your email, your password (encrypted — never readable, not even by us), your nickname, and whatever you add: avatar, cover, bio, social links and your artworks.
Cookies
Technical ones by default: your session, the language you picked, and a signed cookie that recognises your vote. If you accept from the banner, we also use Google Analytics to count visits — analytics run only with your consent, and you can say no. No advertising and no ad profiling, ever.
Your IP address
Kept only as an irreversible fingerprint, to limit abuse such as repeated voting. The original address cannot be recovered from it.
Views
We count one view per person per photo, so the number means something. It is a count, not a record of what you looked at.
Your rights
You can see and change your data from your profile, and delete your account whenever you want: artworks, votes and files are erased for good. To ask for a copy of your data, write to info@wallpixelart.com.
Who is responsible
WallPixelArt is the data controller. For anything about your data: info@wallpixelart.com.
